1-day Presentation Skills, course outline

Giving presentations has become a fact of business life today, whether to a packed auditorium or one to one with a potential customer. Yet the fear of public speaking is thought to affect 80% of the population. However with some forward planning and the use of some simple techniques you can ensure that you minimise and conceal your fear, increase your confidence and maximise your chance of success

Pre course activity.

Whilst preparation  and practice time Is available on the course, you may wish to give some thought to the subject of the 7 -10 min presentation you wish to practice. The presentation subject is entirely up to you.
 
As a result of this Presentation Skills course you will be able to:
  • Engage with your audience
  • Prepare your content in a structured way
  • Maintain focus on your key objectives
  • Use  vocal, visual and verbal techniques that retain the attention of your audience
  • Use appropriate visual aids effectively
  • Answer questions with confidence
  • Control your nerves

Each course offers you to the opportunity to have your presentation recorded on a DVD for you to keep.

Each course will have a maximum of six delegates and is conducted with the emphasis on creating an atmosphere where delegates feel comfortable in practising new techniques. After each presentation delegates receive feedback from the trainer, and at the end of the day leave with an action plan for ensuring they can create and deliver convincing and compelling presentations every time, no matter what the subject.
